Silas Fired by Cavs
I don't like it. I don't get it.

The Cavs are reeling so something was bound to happen. Coaches tend to be the sacrifice offered up to appease the losing gods.
The "See you next Tuesday" comment about Boozer and benching Jeff McInnis for the whole game Sunday didn't help matters for Paul Silas.
The bottom line is, Dan Gilbert didn't buy this team to lose. Gordon Gund might have been more patient, but Gilbert is itching to carve his niche among the league's ownership.
Obviously, status quo wasn't working. Brendan Malone probably won't be a cure-all, but the Cavs had to do something to try and salvage this season. After being teased by the playoffs last year and ultimately missing them, missing the playoffs again this year is flat-out unacceptable. If the Cavs fail to make the playoffs, more changes are in the offing, starting with Jim Paxson.
