Australia and the Electorate
Today is Australia's election day. As a known conservative, I am pulling for John Howard and the Coalition party, but most polls have the race as close as the one in the United States.
Howard, who has been a staunch U.S ally, is leading by a few points in the major polls against Labor's Mark Latham, who is not nearly as pro-American, or at least pro-Bush. He and his party have wanted to remove their troops from Iraq.
America ought to keep an eye on this one.
UPDATE
Latham has conceded defeat. Howard has won and will remain prime minister.
