Like Namath and the Rams, Robert Parrish with the Celtics ...
It will be difficult to see Barry Larkin in any other color than red on the baseball diamond. I grew up pulling for the Reds (while retaining my more intense loyalty for the hometown Indians) and have never been a fan of them when Barry was not there.
It will be weird and it's sad too, in a comparitive sense.
The Reds should have kept Larkin until he decided it was time to go. He had earned that loyalty.
But loyalty means nothing in sports anymore. We all know that.
