Lists were invented before we were swinging on an umbillical cord. Letterman made the Top Ten, and someone else probably perfected the Top Five, but if lists were an irregular number of items -- say, seven -- then no one's the wiser.
Dark horse for best songwriter: comedian Tim Cavanagh, who has had over 325 comedy songs hit the airwaves. He's a master of rhyme and humor.
