Indians All-Deadline Team
C Tyler Houston-1999
1B David Segui-2000
2B Jeff Kent-1996
SS Jose Vizciano-1996
3B Kevin Seitzer-1996
LF Coco Crisp- 2002
CF Grady Sizemore- 2002
RF Mark Carreon- 1996
P Ken Hill-1995
DH Harold Baines-1999
-All of these deals were made in either late June, or July. In some senses, the Bartolo for Sizemore deal happened pre-deadline, but it was a "white flag" trade for the Indians, so it qualifies.

I'm probably splitting hairs, but I think the Harold Baines deal was actually a waiver deadline trade at the end of August.
The same might go for Tyler Houston, but I am coming up blank as to who the Indians got him from and who they gave up (I have mental images of Houston in a Brewers and Cubs uniform).
All I remember was that was the year Travis Fryman hurt his knee and the Indians were desperate for depth at third base.

Testing erik's hypotheses:

August 27, 1999: Traded Juan Aracena and a player to be named later to Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Harold Baines; Baltimore Orioles received Jimmy Hamilton (August 31, 1999).

August 31, 1999: Traded Richard Negrette to Chicago Cubs in exchange for Tyler Houston.

Also: You mention Segui but don't mention Bob Wickman, when they were acquired on the same day?

Seitzer isn't much of a pickup when you give away Jeromy Burnitz.

Coco counts as a super-bonus pickup because he was a PNL (player to be named later).

Ah yes, the late deals. I did forget that Baines and Houston were aquired later. It's actually pretty easy to forget Baines' tenure with the tribe period.

And actually, Seitzer was an August pickup as well. These were not top pickups, just a nice way of doing something different.
But I guess, here's what we'll do:
Move Kent to third, put Jeff Branson at second. Lee Stevens will DH. Catcher is tricky. Scooter Tucker, anyone?
